At Kiran Foundation Trust, we believe education is the single most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of generational poverty. Under our flagship initiative Education Abhiyan, we address two critical education crises seen in underserved rural and tribal regions: low foundational reading levels among primary school children and high dropout rates among adolescent girls transitioning to secondary school.

Our Education Abhiyan Initiative is designed to build strong literacy foundations early in childhood while creating support systems that ensure girls complete secondary education and gain the skills needed for higher education and career success.

Our Strategic Educational Pillars

To build an inclusive learning ecosystem, ABHIYAN operates through a dual-focused framework targeting early learning and adolescent retention:

Foundational Literacy & Reading Culture: Creating vibrant reading rooms, hosting interactive storytelling sessions, and providing age-appropriate learning kits in primary schools to make reading an enjoyable, lifelong habit.
Girl Child Secondary School Retention: Working directly with families, school management committees, and community elders to eliminate social and financial barriers, ensuring girls transition smoothly from primary to secondary school.
Life Skills & Mentorship Programs: Equipping secondary school girls with essential life skills, digital literacy, self-confidence workshops, and health-hygiene education (including menstrual health awareness) to keep them engaged in school.
Post-Secondary Guidance & Career Pathways: Offering career counseling, entrance exam guidance, and scholarship support for adolescent girls—empowering them to pursue higher studies, vocational training, and financial independence.
